As the present principal of Gothami Balika Vidyalaya, I am delighted to send this message at the launch of the official website of our school.

We have tried to create an online resource that provides all relevant information about Gothami Balika Vidyalaya and I hope that will get a sense of the rich flavor of life at our school.

Gothami Balika Vidyalaya, One of the leading Girls’ schools in Colombo was established in June 1946 under the concept of Dr: C.W.W. Kannangara.

We are passionate about creating a learning institution that is dynamic and constantly seeking excellence to meet the needs of the present as well as the future, while learning from the ethical and moral value systems of the Sri Lankan Buddhist Culture .

Gothami Balika Vidyalaya is committed to the complete development of a student, this includes academic knowledge , social skills , intellectual curiosity , physical endurance and a special emphasis on self – discovery .

We have diverse group of students and teachers who possess a global perspective . It is our duty to mount children to be open to think globally and be prepared for life anywhere in the world .
